Talking Points: Children & Healing
April 25, 2018, 11:40 AM
  • Everything written about healing in the bible is for children just as much as it is for anyone. All the scriptures written about salvation are just as much for children as they are for anyone.
  • Sozo: saved, healed, delivered, set free, made well, made whole, preserved, protected and caused to prosper.
  • There are 4 specific scripture passages about children and healing. They are “The Nobleman’s Son”, ‘Jairus’ Daughter”, “The Syro-Phoenician’s Daughter” and “The Boy who Is Healed”.
  • In each of the 4 stories a parent of the child came to Jesus seeking healing for their child.
  • In each one the parent and those present had to believe and those who did not believe were either encouraged to believe or they were excluded from the event of healing.
  • Unbelief and doubt will rob people and children of the blessings and provisions of God.
  • People think that if they pray enough their child will be healed. People also believe if they fast and fast enough that their child will be healed. Jesus said “Only Believe!”
  • Prayer has its place and so does fasting but we cannot substitute faith with prayer and fasting.
  • When our children are sick we need to know that God wants them healed.
  • Faith begins where the will of God is known.
  • We can use our God given authority over the enemy and command/demand that the devil and the sickness leave our child. We can speak health to the sick.
  • We can pray for our child’s healing, but we must do so in faith.
  • I never made my children suffer just to prove I had faith. I would rather look like I had no faith at all and get the care my children needed.
  • I tried to raise my children to be dependent on God for their health and healing rather than doctors, hospitals and medicine.
  • But I also raised them to not let the so called “faith issue” to keep them away from them should they need them.
  • One day we all will give account to God. Either at the judgment seat of Christ or the Great White Throne Judgment.
  • What will you say to God when it comes to how you care for your children and their health and healing?
